ABOUT THE COURSE

This 3-week extension of our interactive, group-driven course will help students learn to become uninhibited, creative thinkers who make strong, confident choices. Through active co-learning and group exercises, students will practice fearless decision-making and will become friends with the unexpected. Jay is an experienced instructor who is adept at teaching students of all ages but has a special love of working with children (with the background check and certification for kids under 18 to prove it!).

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jay Ellis (JEllis) is honored to be a part of the Off Mic community. As a long time actor/improver, musician and educator; he has instructed/directed for Freestyle Love Supreme Academy, Baldwin Wallace University/Conservatory of Music and coached performances/artists from “America’s Got Talent” to the historic main-stage of Carnegie Hall.

His stage credits include Narrator (Stew),Off-Broadway Premier, “Passing Strange”; Monty, Theatrical Rights Worldwide Premier of “Saturday Night Fever”; Templeton, National Tour of “Charlotte’s Web”. Screen credits include “Poncho” (London Independent Film Festival winner); SJC Films’ “Interrogation” (Dir. Stephen Caple Jr. “The Land”, “Creed II”); as well as, various commercial and voice over work. Bachelors of Music in Music Theatre from the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music.
